From our shop, you’ll find a variety of road and casual paved bike routes, as well as mountain bike trails just minutes away. Whether you're looking for a scenic cruise or a more adventurous ride, we’re surrounded by options. Beginner and intermediate mountain bike trails are accessible within a short 15-minute drive. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants, coffee houses, and shopping spots nearby for pre- or post-ride enjoyment.

Road Biking

The road biking opportunities in Arizona’s largest metropolitan area offer some of the best on-pavement riding you can find during the winter months with a variety of heart-pumping climbs and rolling scenic drives. Scottsdale and Phoenix are young cities with new roads and wide bike lanes. The desert in and around the city offers a unique backdrop for scenic on-pavement riding right in town.

Mountain Biking

Imagine a city where the sun always shines and there are hundreds of miles of singletrack within an hour’s drive of the center of town. That’s Phoenix. The city and its surrounding suburbs like Scottsdale, Tempe, and Mesa, has been granted the “Ride Center” designation by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) in recognition of the variety of riding experiences and opportunities that abound here. Enjoy trails purpose built for a range of skill levels in Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve, check out the world-famous competitive track at McDowell Mountain Regional Park home to the original Specialized Cactus Cup, or ride the gnarly chunk on the locally legendary National Trail at Phoenix’s South Mountain Park. Come prepared for sunshine and cactus and leave with a smile on your face.

Bike DELIVERY SERVICES

Get Your Bike Delivered to the Trailhead!

If renting a bike and meeting us at the trail is more convenient for you, opt for our trailhead bike delivery service! For a flat fee per group (starting at $95), we will meet you at Pima Dynamite Trailhead with your bikes, helmets, and spare inner tubes.

Hotel Delivery/Pick-up

For bike rentals one day in duration or longer, the Adventure Center’s bike shop offers hotel delivery and pick-up in the Phoenix metro area is available for an additional fee. Advance notice is required. Please inquire for more information.

Private Residence Delivery

Staying in a vacation rental property? We deliver bikes or other rental gear to private residences by appointment. This service requires advance coordination with the CCO Adventure Center team and the rental party must be available to receive the rental equipment at the arranged time.

Additional Bike Upgrades

Car Racks

Tray style hitch mount and trunk mount options available.

$20 for 1 Day + $5 per additional day when combined with a bike rental.

Pedal Options

All of our bike rentals include standard flat pedals, however, our bike shop is happy to install your own pedals on any rental bike free of charge. We also offer a variety of pedal options should you need a pair.

Aero Bars Installation

$10 fee (also applies to personal bars)

We stock one pair of Bontrager Race Lite aero bars which we will happily install and remove for an additional fee of $10 upon request and pending availability.

Customers wishing to install their own aero bars on our rental bikes are responsible for checking compatibility (bar/clamp diameter, etc) on the bike manufacturers website or the “Specs” tab for each bike type on our website. They will be subject to a $10 installation fee.

Custom Maps

$30 per hour; one hour minimum.

If you’ve checked out our routes and haven’t seen one to suit you, ask our staff if they can provide you with alternative suggestions or we happily provide custom route design for a fee.

Includes .gpx file for your Garmin device or ours of a route to suit your mileage, start and end location(s), elevation change, waypoints.

We require the details of your desired route at least one week in advance. Our bike shop staff is always on hand to answer questions and help direct you to the best trails and road routes to suit your skill level.

Fit Adjustments

Our bike shop is happy to make minor adjustments to your rental bike should you need a certain fit.
